Earth Day Documentary Premiere, April 22, 2026, UW-Green Bay

Dan Larson will premiere his newest documentary, The Natural World of the Bay, Wednesday, April 22, at 6:00 p.m. on the UW–Green Bay campus. This film explores the geologic history, ecosystem dynamics, and ongoing restoration efforts across the Green Bay Estuary.

It is the third in a series Larson has produced highlighting the local environment. His recent documentaries include The Great Ledge (2017), focused on the Niagara Escarpment, and The Power of the River (2023), which explored the Lower Fox River.

The event is also a fundraiser for UW–Green Bay freshwater education programs, with proceeds supporting water programs at UW-Green Bay, including the High School Freshwater Scholars Program and the Lower Fox River Watershed Monitoring Program. Both programs are supported by the Freshwater Collaborative and are designed to introduce middle and high school students to academic programs and careers in water.

As part of the event, UW-Green Bay will include information and resources from organizations working in and around the Green Bay watershed. If you would like your organization to be represented at the premiere, contact Emily Tyner at tynere@uwgb.edu.
